Energy Consultants

As certified energy raters/auditors and energy consultants, Knox Housing Partnership (KHP) provides rating services for green build professionals. These include rating services for state-of-the-art residential energy conservation techniques, the inspection and testing of a home's energy performance, energy auditing, and heating and cooling equipment diagnostics. For example, KHP professionals work with builders during planning and design to identify improvements needed to ensure that high performance energy guidelines are met. The rater also conducts onsite inspections, typically including blower door tests (to test the leakiness of the house or dwelling) and duct tests (to test the leakiness of the ducts). Results of these tests are used to generate a rating score for the home or dwelling. 

KHP professionals are Certified RESNET HERS Raters and Certified LEED for Homes Raters. KHP serves Knoxville, Knox County and the 75-mile radius of Knoxville, including these counties: Knox, Blount, Sevier, Loudon, Anderson, Union, Campbell, Grainger, Jefferson and Roane. KHP's list of current clients includes City of Knoxville Community Development, Knox County Community Development, Knoxville's Community Development Corporation (KCDC), Tennessee Housing Development Agency, and leading area architects and developers.
