Knox Housing Partnership, Inc. (“KHP”) is in full compliance with the State of Tennessee Charitable Gaming Implementation Law. KHP is conducting a raffle of a 2010 Harley Davidson Sportster (hereby referred to as the “Raffle”) for its fundraising event to be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010, on the Festival Lawn of the World’s Fair Park, Knoxville, TN. Raffle winner is not required to attend the event. KHP has been in continuous and active existence in Tennessee since 1991 and is fully exempt from federal income taxation under §501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as a nonprofit organization described in any subdivision of §501 (c) of the Internal Revenue Code and has received exemption from federal taxation as an organization described in §501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. KHP submits an annual report (Form 990) with the Internal Revenue Service; KHP is governed by a volunteer board of directors; the KHP board of directors has fully approved the Raffle; no board member or staff person and no family member of any KHP board member or staff member is eligible to win or benefit in any way from the Raffle.
