Real Estate Development & Asset Management Committee

The Real Estate Development and Asset Management Committee is responsible for the planning and oversight of KHP’s real estate development. This includes the construction of multifamily units, such as the Riverbirch and Willow Place projects, as well as single-family, scattered site homes such as the new houses going up in the Five Points and Mechanicsville neighborhoods. The committee also oversees KHP’s renovation and rehab projects such as the four houses in the 1600 block of Jefferson Avenue, a gutsy venture that proved to be key to the significant movement upward of property values in the Parkridge community.

The committee is comprised of board members and non-board members who have administrative and management expertise in architecture, construction, and real estate development. The committee works closely with KHP’s highly experienced project manager, Ken Block. Together this committee and staff have planned, designed, and completed numerous projects in the Knoxville and Knox County community, providing real substance to KHP’s mission to enhance communities with quality housing and to build wealth through homeownership.

The Real Estate Development and Asset Management Committee meets regularly, records minutes, reports its proceedings and activities, and makes recommendations to the Executive Committee and the full Board.
