Executive Director

Jackie Mayo
Executive Director

Jackie Mayo has been with Knox Housing Partnership (KHP) since 1999 serving in various positions with the agency. In 2005, Ms. Mayo was named KHP’s Executive Director. Ms. Mayo earned professional certification in 2003 in Home Ownership and Community Lending from Neighborhood Reinvestment Training Institute. She holds a Tennessee Real Estate Affiliate Broker’s license and has a B.S. degree from the University of Tennessee in Human Ecology, majoring in Human Resources Training and Development. She has facilitated regional homebuyer education training and has presented workshops for Tennessee Housing Development Agency and Fannie Mae. Ms. Mayo serves on the board of the Community Housing Developers Association of Tennessee (CHDAT) and most recently was inducted into the 2009 Community Leadership Program with Knoxville-Knox County Community Action Committee.

HomeOwnership Center Manager

Ms. Hall served as Knox Housing Partnership's (KHP) Receptionist and First Home Assistant in 2001 and 2002. Ms. Hall then served as KHP's HomeOwnership Center Assistant to the HomeOwnership Center Team, a position with extensive and demanding duties, assisting the HomeOwnership Center Manager, the Intake Coordinator, and the Marketing and Outreach Coordinator. As a result of her diligence and hard work, Ms. Hall now serves as the HomeOwnership Center Manager, a position she has held now since October 2006. Ms. Hall's time and dedication is spent in empowering her clients with knowledge and motivation to pursue their goal of homeownership and financial stability. Through NeighborWorks® America she is a certified trainer for both Homebuyer Education and Financial Literacy Education. Ms. Hall holds a degree in English Literature from Fisk University.

KHP Project and Asset Manager

KHP Project and Asset Manager

As Knox Housing Partnership's (KHP) construction project administrator, Mr. Block brings over 20 years of professional experience of effective management, including due diligence requirements, site development, building design, construction administration, scheduling and budgeting.  His portfolio contains an array of developments, including health care occupancy, single- and multi-family residential housing and multi-story commercial office space.  Mr. Block is Integrated Project Team Leader for KHP, developing seven USGBC LEED-Gold credentialed high performance houses in Knoxville's Park City area.  He has completed training in green build programs, including LEED for Homes, LEED-NC, EarthCraft House Builder, and HERS Rater training.  In addition, Mr. Block is a registered Healthy Homes Specialist through the National Center for Healthy Homes and the National Environmental Health Association.  He is certified in Lead Abatement, a licensed electrician, and a General Contractor "Qualified Agent" in Tennessee since 1997.  Mr. Block earned a graduate degree in Public Administration in 1987, and he joined the U.S. Marines in 1971.
 

KHP Leasing Agent

LaShawn Hall
KHP Leasing Agent

LaShawn Hall is the Leasing Agent for Knox Housing Partnership's (KHP) scattered-site single-family homes in Knoxville and Knox County and senior adult apartment complexes located in Karns. She began her work with KHP as the Receptionist in 2004 and took on the additional rental property duties in 2006. Ms. Hall has worked in the housing field for six years and has eight years of administrative experience. Ms. Hall has expertise in HOME rentals, HUD Section 8 Project-based Apartments, Section 8 rental assistance vouchers and Low-income Housing Tax Credit developments. Ms. Hall has received training in the following programs from NeighborWork® Training Institute: Delivering Successful Residents Service Programs, Counseling the Homeless and Those at Risk of Becoming Homeless, Maintenance Operations Basics, and Accounting and Budgeting Fundamentals. In addition, Ms. Hall has attended the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program training Quadel and continues with the ongoing training for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity.

Controller

Pat Sitton
KHP Controller

Pat Sitton has served as Controller with KHP since September 2001, overseeing all aspects of financial management and administrative operations, from annual audit preparation and board finance committee support to human resouces, payroll, and administration of KHP many new housing developments, 60 senior multifamily units in Karns, 27 scattered site rental properties, grant acquisitions, and day-to-day accounting functions.  Ms. Sitton came to KHP bringing 25 years of experience, including managing and supervising the accounting for a nonprofit social service agency with an annual operating budget of $21,000,000.  KHP is very fortunate to have Ms. Sitton's great expertise, organizational skills and high level of commitment.

Connie Neal
Homebuyer Education Trainer

Connie Neal is an educator and counselor, and she loves her work with KHP. When Ms. Neal is not working for the northeast Tennessee bank at her home in Kingsport, she serves as an educator for KHP's homebuyer education program, traveling down for the Saturday classes.  Ms. Neal is passionate about the work with first-time homebuyers and renters.  She considers it greatly rewarding to teach credit and home ownership to others, and she especially enjoys "seeing the headlights come on in their faces" as they learn about homebuyer education and credit management.  Ms. Neal is highly experienced, with 15 years with the Air Force Credit Union where she served as Vice President of Lending, and four years as an educator and credit counselor for the Housing Development Corporation of Clinch Valley. KHP is fortunate to have her skills and her joy for teaching others.
